Ingredients:
- 1 kg boneless chicken
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 cup yogurt
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp ghee or butter
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp kasuri methi
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves
Instructions:
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinate it in a mixture of ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, yogurt, and salt. Leave it to marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Heat the ghee or butter in a pan and sauté the onions until they turn golden brown.
Add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes until the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 10-15 minutes on medium heat, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Add the cream and garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Crush the kasuri methi between your palms and sprinkle it over the chicken.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
