Crispy Honey Chili Chicken Recipe

Recipe for Crispy Honey Chili Chicken:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  3. Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and sriracha sauce.
  6. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water together.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside.
  8. In the same skillet, add the honey-sriracha mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Add the cornstarch-water mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  10. Add the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  11. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
  12. Serve hot and enjoy!

Note: You can adjust the amount of sriracha sauce used based on your preference for spiciness.
