Super Easy Cabbage Manchurian Recipe


Simple and easy recipe for Cabbage Manchurian:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1-2 chopped green chilies
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornflour mixed in 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together chopped cabbage, all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt to taste.

  2. Add a little water to the mixture to form a thick batter.

  3. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once hot, drop small portions of the batter into the oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.

  4. To make the sauce, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies and sauté for a minute.

  5. Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and water. Mix well.

  6. Add the cornflour-water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.

  7. Add the fried cabbage balls to the sauce and toss until coated well.

  8. Serve hot as an appetizer or with rice or noodles.
